Maine Instagram Roundup

I love to travel. I love the adventure of it–finding your way around, learning the public transit, finding the best local coffee shops–but I also love dressing for travel. Nothing gives me a better excuse to shop than an upcoming trip! Well, maybe the seasons changing. Or school starting. Or a wedding to attend. In any case, you get the idea. I’m always looking for excuses to shop.

I love that when you travel you have to plan out what you’re going to wear in advance and then stick to it. In a way, it’s nice not to be overwhelmed by choices. It avoids that staring-into-your-closet-thinking-you-have-nothing-to-wear bit. I try not to pack too many options when I travel. I like to build several outfits around a few pieces and wear them in different ways throughout the week. One of these days I’ll do a post on packing, but for now I wanted to share a few of the looks I posted on Instagram while we were in Maine. The weather there was absolutely beautiful. It didn’t feel humid at all (but then again you have to remember that I’m comparing it to South Carolina). We hardly had any rain and the evenings always had a cool breeze. It was so fun to plan clothes without having to worry about sweating through them!

  1. Absolutely love your Kate Spade carry-on! Looking forward to that post on packing. Building several outfits around a few pieces when travelling is still something I struggle with.
